Your all-in-one subscription to help you prepare for pregnancy, birth, & beyond

Call us your “virtual doula”

Preparing for birth is no small feat. There are so many choices to make:

  • What labs does my provider run throughout pregnancy?

  • Who do I want at my birth? Should I hire a doula?

  • How do I prepare my pelvic floor for birth? And how?

  • What is gestational diabetes and why does my blood pressure matter?

Just to name a few. Subscribe to The Passage, and we will guide you through all of your options with evidence-based resources, questions to ask your provider, and make sure you understand what is going on in your body and how to make informed choices.

Your subscription also provides guided movement to prepare your body and mind for birth, including prenatal yoga and strengthening, nervous system support, movement for grief, breath work, pelvic floor support, and more.

DID YOU KNOW?

There is a standard of care

Providers follow an well-established standard of care throughout pregnancy. Initial labs are run at 10 weeks, glucose screening occurs between 24-28 weeks, and the GBS culture is done between 36-38 weeks, and more. Our subscription will make sure you understand these tests before it’s time to get them. We want you to feel prepared to talk to your provider about your risks, options, and why these tests are beneficial.

You can prepare

There is a common narrative out there that “you just can’t prepare for an experience like birth!” We disagree. It takes practice, yes, but you can only practice if you know what is beneficial for you.

Postpartum is hard

It can also be remarkably beautiful and precious. Too many people are unprepared for those early weeks and months. We have a systems-oriented approach to preparing for this time that will set you up to be nourished and supported.

The United States has terrible birth statistics

We don’t want to be hush about this. We want this to change. We believe that education is at the heart of this issue. When pregnant people are fully informed and can intentionally engage with their providers and other birth team members, practice advocacy throughout their pregnancy, and understand what is happening in their bodies, we can improve birth outcomes.

Our Mission: ACCESSIBILITY & EQUITY

We started out as birth and postpartum doulas, researchers, educators, and fierce advocates. Doulas improve birth outcomes, and there is data to back that up. If you take a close look at the data, the people who need advocates the most can’t access them.

Every birthing person deserves to have a positive experience, to be supported, and to feel supported in their unique way. While nothing can replace the individualized, in-person support of a doula, we created this platform to make the information and education accessible to everyone. Resources should not stand in the way of a positive, informed experience. We hope the financial contribution to this platform is not a barrier, and if it is, please reach out.

Our goal for The Passage is to reflect and serve every birthing person, regardless of race, gender identity, socioeconomic status, and more. If you would like to contribute and/or submit feedback, we are openhearted to improving this platform and serving people in the best way possible.
