MEET YOUR DOULA

I am motivated by the idea that when people feel heard, validated, informed, and supported, birth is a more empowering experience. The Passage has shifted from an in-person doula support business to an educational platform. As a parent, doula, and person, I am continuing to evolve, and so is this business.

I was called to birth work in 2018 after several years of work in child nutrition and farm-to-school program development. I have always believed that education, informed choice, and agency related to food choices are fundamental rights, all of which lead to better health outcomes. I believe these same three rights exercised by a pregnant person can create a more positive birth experience and entrance into parenthood.

Monday through Friday, by day, you can now find me managing the WIC program out of a local CAP agency, supporting families to access food and support as they welcome new babies and raise young children. By night, you can find me teaching classes and workshops and hustling as an educational doula. As a busy mum of a young child, I may not be able to be on-call anymore, but I will continue to make time to educate people as they prepare for birth, both in the workshop and the 1-on-1 setting.
